Limitations
The division of the archaeological records into specific modules facilitates an easier system design and introduces limitations.
Granted, some queries are impossible to implement with this design (e.g., all beads, regardless of material; all pottery from a specific structure).
A partial solution to this is the implementation of an easy to use query builder. Users are given the ability to query their data in multiple ways and easily adjust their queries to their needs.
The focus is on the user experience rather than an attempt to build a machine-readable universal system.
